The famous French singer Françoise Hardy died on June 11, 2024, at the age of 80. She succumbed to throat cancer after a year-long battle with the disease. She underwent various treatments, including radiation and chemotherapy. Unfortunately, this was not enough to save the symbol of the Yé-yé movement. But what is known about this type of cancer?

In fact , the pharynx , from the ancient Greek word *phárynx* , meaning throat, is simply the scientific term used for the throat region. This ENT disease can affect different parts of the throat: the nasopharynx (the upper part), the oropharynx (the middle part) and the hypopharynx (the lower part).
